What this site is
RAM Outdoors is a personal hunting and fishing logbook, run by an individual — not a company. It's free, invite-only, and there is nothing here that makes money from your data.
What we store
Your account basics — name and email — handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider. And the content you log: trips, diary entries, weather, catches, harvests, photos, and any locations you choose to enter. That content is stored in our database (Neon) and photo storage (Vercel), and it exists for exactly one purpose: showing it back to you.
Who can see it
Your logbook is private by default. Other people see a trip only if you share it to a group you're in, or create a share link — and either can be undone, which cuts off access immediately, photos included. Trip coordinates are never shown to anyone but you, even on shared trips. The site operator can technically access the database that stores this content, and doesn't, outside of maintenance and debugging.
Cookies
Only the essential kind: a login session cookie so the site knows it's you, and a bot-check at sign-up. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no tracking of you around the web, no selling or sharing of anything. That's why there's no cookie banner — there's nothing to opt out of.
Third parties
The site runs on Clerk (sign-in), Vercel (hosting and photo storage), and Neon (database) — your data passes through them the way any website's does its infrastructure. The optional weather auto-fill sends only a trip's coordinates and date to Open-Meteo, a weather data service — never your name or anything about you.
Deleting your data
Delete any trip, photo, or entry in the app and it's gone, including the stored photo files. You can delete your whole account from your profile menu, or email the address below and it'll be handled for you.
